From Back Cover:
“I’d never seen a dead body before, but I was pretty sure the guy in the car trunk was dead.”
Middle school’s tough, and Tyler Higgins just wants to hang with the cool kids. But Dustin’s idea of quality entertainment is spying on parked cars on Lover’s Lane. When two creeps show up with a body, Tyler doesn’t want to stick around. Then again, he might not have much choice.
The book is a very great book, for sure. Two young boys are up to mischief but accidentally gets involved with bad guys and has the run of their life. Definitely will keep you on the edge of your seat. I felt like I was watching a TV show.
The story is a short read, depending on how fast you read but can only take a couple of hours or less. I do love books that don’t take long to read to have a break from long ones as long as the story is complete and this one is. It does take place in one day but does include a little backstory. I was concerned since it was short and said book one that it would not have an end, but I was happy to find out there was — a great beginning to a series.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Celebrate Lit. This review is my own opinion.
