Toni DeLuca, the Italian owner of DeLuca Construction, finds herself confronted with doubts about her father and his possible deceptions—all because of the mysterious pink notes she’s been receiving.
Relations with Perrin Douglas who has a troubling history—but the first man in years who’s interested her—is building to a peak. Yet Perrin’s own personal problems and his doubts about women and God, keep getting in the way.
Gossip, a Spanish proposal, an inheritance, and a sabotaged construction business may ruin Christmas for Toni’s employees as well as her own happiness.
Will a mysterious person succeed in pulling off the biggest scam Appleton, West Virginia has ever seen? And will this culprit destroy Toni’s last chance at happiness with the man of her dreams?
Toni is receiving threatening notes. There is a mystery of who they are from, I had my suspicion it but was definitely a lot more to it. Read it yourself to see what i mean. Besides being a mystery it is a good clean romance.
Toni is the owner of an construction company. She was hired by Perrin to build onto his house he just brought in town. He did not like that Toni was a girl and owner of the company. He didn’t know when he hired her. Perrin definitely has a lot of things to work out but that could be an whole new story. He has a son named Blake, which was my favorite character. Blake was twelve years old but at times acted more grown up.
This is part of a series that involves Appleton, WV which is an small town. I do enjoy books set in a small towns. Each book can be read as a stand alone.
I received an complementary copy of the book from Celebrate Lit. I was not required to write an positive review. This is my own opinion.
